How to Make an Effective Plumbing Business Card

If you are a professional plumber, you would doubtless like to maximise your exposure to the public so lots of people would be able to call you to fix their plumbing concerns. That means you should create and distribute some sort of marketing collateral to promote your service. One of the most economical yet effective collaterals is the business card. With today's compact printing technology, you can produce hundreds of cards at home. Here are a few tips on how to make a card that effectively establishes you as a skilled and reliable plumber.

First, consider the look of the card. Do not use cheap or ordinary paper because it will just end up in the trash bin. Instead, choose good-quality but not necessarily expensive card stock. Next, include the most important information. Remember that you need to fit your sales pitch in a 2.5 by 3.5 piece of card stock, so make every word count. The most important elements such as your logo, your name, and contact details should be included in your card. Arrange the elements in a way that they are easy to read. Aside from this basic information, you should also add details about the plumbing services you can offer. A good idea is to place a teaser or a slogan at the front, such as "24-hour on-call service," and a list of your services at the back. This way, you can attract the customer at first and maximise the use of space. In addition, stay away from complex fonts that distract your customer and choose fonts that are easy to read. Times New Roman, Arial, and Verdana are good choices. Lastly, if you need to change your address, phone numbers, or other information, do not crudely cross them out. Instead, print a new batch of cards printed with the new information.
